John Lewis Partnership appoints first pan-partnership head of loyalty

The John Lewis Partnership has appointed its first pan-partnership head of loyalty as part of plans to drive an improved experience for customers.

Due to take up her position in June, Emily Wells will be responsible for developing and launching a new pan-partnership loyalty proposition in 2024. She will also lead and develop the My Waitrose and My John Lewis loyalty programmes and teams.

Wells has been working with Tesco for the last five years where her most recent role has been head of loyalty strategy. Prior to this, she worked in commercial and strategy roles across various retail and consulting settings.

In her new position, she will report to pan-partnership and John Lewis customer director Charlotte Lock.

The John Lewis Partnership has also announced new partnerships with customer loyalty and marketing specialists Dunnhumby and Eagle Eye to help deepen relationships with customers and to “provide them with even more benefits”.

Lock said: “Today’s announcements show the ambition we have to transform how our much loved brands can deliver a more personalised experience for customers. With Emily’s appointment and our new partnerships with Dunnhumby and Eagle Eye, we can better help our customers however, whenever and wherever they shop with us.”
