John Lewis Oxford Street atrium comes to life for Christmas

Some 14 specialist technicians have spent three nights installing John Lewis Oxford Street’s famous Christmas display and transforming the branch’s atrium into a winter wonderland for the festive season.

The abseiling crew from Springfield Decorations & Display descended down the 100 foot atrium to add the final touches to the display within the flagship London store.

A total of 1.6 kilometres of lights and 400 birch Christmas trees were suspended from the atrium ceiling.

This year’s atrium theme is a mixture of coppers, whites and natural textures as the retailer looks to create a Scandi-inspired display.
