John Lewis named Britain’s favourite retailer for fourth year in a row
John Lewis has been named Britain’s favourite retailer in a survey of over 6,000 shoppers run by analyst firm Verdict Research
It is the fourth consecutive year the department store chain has come top of the Verdict survey, which it has won or come second in every year since the poll started in 2000.
The retailer was rated by customers on key elements including service, product range and the shop environment.
Andrew Murphy, Retail Director at John Lewis, said: ‘For me, this award is a reflection of the trust our customers have in us, and the hard work we’ve put in to gain that trust. Customers know that shopping at John Lewis means they will get great quality products which are value for money, they will get great service whether they buy in our shops or online, and that if something goes wrong with a purchase, we will do all we can to put it right.
‘We had a great year in 2010, and we’ll be going all out to deliver the same level of satisfaction to existing and new customers throughout 2011.’
John Lewis was also the only retailer to come out top in more than one sector category award, for Electricals and Homewares.
