John Lewis appoints new insurance product provider
John Lewis has appointed RSA and Ageas to be the new providers of its range of insurance products following a competitive tendering process.
RSA will now be underwriting John Lewis Insurance’s wedding, event and pet insurance offerings, along with its home insurance offering from 16 January 2013, with Ageas now underwriting John Lewis Insurance’s travel offering.
RSA and Ageas will take over underwriting the insurance products from AXA Personal Lines, which has been the provider since October 2006 when John Lewis Insurance (formerly known as Greenbee) launched. John Lewis car insurance will continue to be underwritten by Ageas, specialist home insurance by Sterling and life cover by Friends Life.
John Brady, head of commercial at John Lewis Insurance, said: “We are pleased to be partnering with RSA and Ageas as our insurance providers.
Never Miss a Retail Update!“Our priority is to work with providers that are able to continue meeting our rigorous customer service and product development requirements, as well as matching the values and high standard of John Lewis Partnership.
“We are confident that our partnerships with RSA and Ageas will enable us to continue ensuring that our customers are receiving the best value, with excellent customer service at the forefront.”
