JML bolsters board with non-executive director appointments

JML has appointed Susan Aubrey-Cound and Simon Hathway as non-executive directors and promoted Kevin Dickens to the role of group marketing director as part of its growth plans.

Aubrey-Cound previously worked for ten years at Marks & Spencer where her most recent role was director of multichannel development. She then worked with Daily Mail Group as chief executive of ecommerce before joining  Tel Aviv AI tech startup Syte to launch and scale the business.

Meanwhile, Hathway has 23 years of international retail experience and has previously held senior positions at Sainsbury’s, AS Watson and Wilko. More recently, he was commercial and buying director at European discount retailer Action where he played a key role in expanding the company’s distribution network.

Ken Daly (pictured), JML chief executive, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Susan and Simon are joining us. They are well-respected figures in the retail industry and their appointments reflect our commitment to continued growth, equally through our ecommerce business and together with our wholesale network, both in the UK and internationally.”

In a further move, Kevin Dickens has been promoted to the role of group marketing director after working with JML for ten years. He was previously responsible for creative design and video content production at the business.
