JJB like for likes grow

Group not expecting to derive any incremental revenues from Euro 2008.

Total revenue for the 17 weeks to 25 November was up 1.6 per cent on the comparable 2006 period, with like for like sales growth at units that have been trading for at least 52 weeks also 1.6 per cent.Growth at the retail stores has been slower at 0.5 per cent, with like for like sales up 1.4 per cent. Roger Lane-Smith, JJB’s Non-executive Chairman, said ‘We continue to be cautious about the retail market outlook both in the run up to Christmas and into 2008’.
