Jewson signs up to Shutl delivery service

Builders merchant Jewson has signed up to the Shutl delivery service for six of its London branches.

The partnership will enable London-based Jewson customers to order from a participating local branch, either in person or by phone, and get their orders delivered in as little as 90 minutes, or within a one-hour delivery window of their choice. Participating branches at launch are Croydon, Walton-on-Thames, Fulham, Kentish Town, Romford and Wembley, with Shutl delivering to qualifying postcodes in and around the M25.

Jewson is the only builders’ merchant currently to offer the Shutl service as it looks to further improve the service it offers to trade customers.

David Fenton, marketing director at Jewson, said: “We undertook research with Jewson customers in London to ascertain the day to day issues they face whilst working on site. Running out of product and material coupled with traffic congestion and parking restrictions were top of the list – our partnership with Shutl will help to address this allowing the customer more time on the job.”

Never Miss a Retail Update!

“As a business, Jewson have a clear understanding of their customers’ needs and a history of innovating to serve those needs,” added Tom Allason, founder and CEO of Shutl. “With Shutl they have offered a unique service aimed at improving the productivity of builders out on a job, giving them what they want, when they want it. The bar’s been raised for the rest of the industry.”
