JD’s like-for-like sales ahead of forecasts
31 July, 2015 | by Retail Bulletin
Sportswear retailer JD Sports has reported a continuing strong performance with like-for-like sales remaining in excess of management forecasts.
However, the retailer said it had suffered some loss of margin from the weakness in the Euro in its Euro denominated business.
Subject to a continuing positive performance, JD now anticipates its headline profit before tax for the current year will be approximately 10% ahead of the current consensus market expectations of around £110 million.
The retailer will announce its results for the half year ended 1 August 2015 on 16 September.
