Izabel London sales boosted by India launch

Izabel London has achieved a strong increase in sales following its expansion into India.

The UK womenswear brand has seen 140% growth in its first quarter, after a deal with Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail of India has enabled it to sell its clothing in 145 ‘Pantaloons’ stores across 76 cities in the country.

Karan Uppal, founder of Izabel London said: “Expanding internationally was a natural progression for Izabel London.

“One of the main challenges with this type of scale of expansion is to retain the essence of the brand over multiple channels. Collaboration with Pantaloons gives Izabel London the brand exposure that is needed in Asian Market.

“As we grow into new markets, it is important not to lose the key part of what makes Izabel unique, and to remain consistent and deliver the same result.”

Izabel London’s range of exotic day wear and accessible evening wear is currently available in more than 500 locations across the UK, including retailers House of Fraser, Dorothy Perkins and Debenhams.

The India launch is part of a global expansion process throughout Europe, Asia and the Pacific region. The brand is currently stocked in more than 1,000 locations worldwide.
