Irwin Mitchell becomes first law firm offering Carbon Literacy Training to retail clients

Irwin Mitchell has become the first law firm to offer certified Carbon Literacy training for retail clients.

The accreditation has been awarded by the Carbon Literacy Project – a charitable organisation which helps individuals and organisations understand the carbon costs and impacts of their activities and how to reduce them.

The Carbon Literacy training will enable Irwin Mitchell’s clients to become certified as Carbon Literate individuals and Carbon Literate Organisations.

Since launching, it has helped to motivate over 100,000 individuals and 7,800 organisations to take climate action.

Irwin Mitchell Environment partner, Keith Davidson, said: “The Carbon Literacy Project is a real success story. Phil Korbel and his team have certified over 100,000 Carbon Literate learners and we look forward to working closely with them to speed up corporate climate action.

“The training is suitable for all employees and managers. It’s a great way to become more aware of the climate impacts of everyday individual and business actions and to gain the motivation and ideas to reduce emissions.”
