Intu Lakeside unveils new lettings

The Intu Lakeside shopping centre in Essex has announced a raft of new lettings.

Italian cosmetics brand KIKO Milano has signed for an 850 square foot store to add to its shops at Intu Trafford Centre, Intu Merry Hill, Intu Derby, Intu Eldon Square, Intu Victoria Centre and Intu Bromley.

In addition, home fragrance brand Love Aroma has taken a 600 square foot store while travel firms Kuoni and Virgin Holidays have also joined the line-up. Meanwhile, Lush and EE have both upsized to bigger stores.

The recent signings follow a new letting to US lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret which opened an 11,000 square foot flagship store last year on Intu Lakeside’s upper mall.

Julian Wilkinson, asset management director of Intu, said: “We continuously bring the best names to Intu Lakeside, maintaining our position as the pre-eminent retail and leisure destination in Essex. Throughout the coming year we will provide retailers with the right environment in which to flourish. We’ve got the scale, an impressive range of shops and leisure attractions plus Intu’s signature customer experiences.”

Other new additions over the past 12 months included Hamleys, Kurt Geiger, Paperchase, Tag Heuer and Goldsmiths Boutique.

The centre has 1.44 million square feet of retail, catering and leisure space and an annual footfall of 25 million. It is anchored by Debenhams, Marks & Spencer and House of Fraser, together with Next, River Island, Superdry, H&M and Zara.
