Instore upbeat after good Christmas

Despite two recent profit warnings, Instore’s trading statement has indicated that sales had picked up over Christmas.
Total LFL sales for the 6 weeks ending 13th
January 2007 were up 4.6 per cent. Total LFL sales for the second half to date, covering the 20 weeks ending 13th January, were up 2.3 per cent. Instore said that seasonal stock was cleaner than previously achieved, being 30 per cent lower in value than the prior year.
