Instore roll out boosts Brown & Jackson
Stronger trading at value retailer
Value retailer Brown & Jackson is seeing an upturn in trading as it continues to convert its Poundstretcher brand to the new Instore format.
Brown & Jackson chairman, Christo Wiese told shareholders that sales are running ahead of expectations, up by 2.5 per cent in the 14 weeks to July 24, and by 3.9 per cent on a like-for-like basis.
He said the business has seen a recovery in both its high street and out of town stores, both of which are delivering positive sales growth.
Since the start of the financial year 31 more outlets have been converted to Instore, bringing the total to 38 stores trading under the new brand.
Weise said: “Sales in these stores are ahead of expectations, and we continue to be positive about prospects for the continuing conversion of Poundstretcher to Instore.”
