Independent retailers flock to Red Lion Yard
Maison White and Splash of Ice have both opened stores at the recently refurbished Red Lion Yard shopping quarter in Colchester. Four further retailers have also signed up to take stores.
Maison White, a boutique specialising in gifts, homewares and interior design, has opened in a 538 sq ft store in the oldest part of Red Lion Yard close to the Grade II listed Red Lion Hotel.
Meanwhile, jewellery retailer Splash of Ice has opened a 169 sq ft shop offering handmade designer silver jewellery from across the world as well as bespoke jewellery design service.
Completed in July this year, the refurbishment works have created a new boutique shopping and café quarter in the historic yard which links the town’s High Street with the Lion Walk Shopping Centre.
