ICSC names new European managing director

The International Council of Shopping Centers has appointed Sandra de Jenken as its new European managing director.

Working closely with ICSC executive vice-president and chief global officer Mike Morrissey in her new role, de Jenken is due to move from Paris to London in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, Morrissey will begin moving his European responsibilities to her, starting with advocacy, marketing, communications and ICSC’s European specialist working groups.

Prior to joining ICSC, de Jenken worked for several years for the French government and was tournament director for the Roland Garros tennis tournament.

Morrissey said: “I worked with Sandra many years ago when we both worked in tennis associations so I know very well her excellent communication skills and work ethic. Since then, Sandra has built up considerable experience in government relations and running major events, which will be invaluable for our advocacy and networking activities.”
