Hunter Price International acquires BargainMax

Hunter Price International has confirmed that it has acquired online toy retailer BargainMax.co.uk.

In a statement, the product developer and supplier of consumer products to the retail industry said the deal will accelerate its expansion strategy and fuel its brand growth ambitions across its product portfolio spanning toys, accessories, lifestyle, stationery, and arts &  crafts.

In 2023, the Manchester based company had its most successful trading year to date, with the group sales surpassing £50 million.

Josh Eden, co-chief executive (operations & finance) at Hunter Price, said: “We believe our own brands and partnerships have so much untapped potential; and we now have the capabilities to continue to innovate and activate our portfolio, to build brand equity, value and market share.

“We believe all our stakeholders will see the benefits of our omnichannel expansion, maintaining our completing not competing mindset, to offer more insight, innovation and commercial impact.”

Founded in 2012, BargainMax.co.uk saw its sales increase by 27% last year.

Alex Woolfstein, chief executive of BargainMax, said: “Hunter Price and BargainMax.co.uk share the same entrepreneurial spirit, energy and excitement for impactful consumer products.

“We both have the consumer at the heart of everything we do – we’re building for the future, together as one team – so I couldn’t be prouder to be part of this journey alongside Hunter Price.”
