House of Fraser to offer seven-day deliveries

House of Fraser is to offer its customers a seven day a week delivery service for orders made online.

The new service, which House of Fraser says is a first for the UK retail sector, will also include post-work deliveries in the evening where customers making an order before midnight will receive their goods between 6pm and 10pm the next day.

The department store will initially charge customers £6 per order.

Andy Harding, House of Fraser’s executive director for multi-channel, said: “We listened to customer feedback which suggested a need for a more flexible delivery fulfilment based around standard working hours.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

“A four-hour delivery window, post standard working hours, seemed like the most logical and convenient time. It was also important that customers had the opportunity to shop late and receive their goods the next day.”

House of Fraser is also planning to offer a same day delivery service to selected stores by Christmas, where customers will be able to order online until 11am and collect their items in-store from 5pm.
