House of Fraser director to leave

Department store group streamlines buying roles
House of Fraser is parting company with buying and merchandising director Ann Gordon in a move designed to streamline its head office buying structure.

The department store group, which has been working to reduce costs in the business over the past year, said Gordon is leaving the business with immediate effect.
House of Fraser said the move followed a review of senior roles in the central buying office. The company has decided to shorten reporting lines between the board and the four category directors, who will now report directly to chief executive John Coleman.
