Hornby names new finance director
Toy and model specialist Hornby has appointed a new finance director.
Due to join the business on 10 June, Steve Cooke will succeed current finance director Nick Stone who is leaving Hornby later in the summer.
Cooke was previously finance director at LSL Property Services and prior to that worked with Bestinvest, Mapeley and Energis. The early part of his career was spent in retail in senior financial and management roles at B&Q and Homebase.
Richard Ames, Hornby chief executive, said: “The board is delighted that Steve has agreed to join Hornby. We are pleased to have secured someone of his calibre. He brings with him extensive PLC experience at a strategic level, as well as excellent experience of retail and logistics operations. I look forward to Steve making a significant contribution as we continue to make encouraging progress with our strategy to drive the group’s turnaround.”
