Carolyn Simons to leave home furnishings retailer

UK home furnishings retailer Homestyle has announced the immediate resignation of Carolyn Simons, group managing director of the business which includes the Rosebys, Harveys, Fabric Warehouse and Bensons Beds chains.
Michael Rosenblatt, chief executive, said: “With the appointment of David Brock as executive chairman, the role of group managing director is no longer necessary.
“We would like to thank Carolyn for her contribution to the group; in particular, the successful repositioning of Rosebys and Harveys following its acquisition in 2000.”
Brock was announced as part time executive Chairman of the business last month. A former director of MFI Furniture, he is also non-executive chairman of a number of Jane Norman and Actif Group.
