Homestyle chief executive to step down
Michael Rosenblatt to leave retail group
Michael Rosenblatt, chief executive of UK furniture retail group Homestyle, is to leave the business in September.
Rosenblatt’s decision follows Homestyle’s sale of its Rosebys textiles and home furnishing business to its management earlier this year.
Rosenblatt has been with the business for over 25 years, leading the original Rosebys business to a stock market float in 1992, and going on to acquire the Bensons Beds and Harveys chains.
Homestyle said: “In light of the recent appointments of David Brock as executive chairman and Tim Kowalski as group finance director, Michael is stepping down as chief executive and as a director of Homestyle.”
The statement added: “As both the group’s beds and furniture divisions have experienced managing directors, there are no plans to replace him.”
