Homebase rated as worst online retailer in Which? survey
A new Which? survey has found that Homebase has been rated as the worst online retailer in the UK.
In the annual study the DIY retailer got a customer score of just 55% compared to top ranking LizEarle.com which achieved a score of 94%.
Which? asked 10,000 members to tell it about their online shopping experiences over the last six months. For each retailer they had shopped with, the members told how satisfied they were with their experience and how likely they would be to recommend it to a friend. The responses were then used to calculate a customer score for each website.
Looking at the top spots, RicherSounds.com, WexPhotoVideo.com, Rohan.co.uk and SeasaltCornwall.co.uk all came closely behind LizEarle.com with scores of 93%. Other top scorers included JohnLewis.com, men’s clothing retailer Charles Tyrwhitt and book selling sites TheBookPeople.co.uk and Wordery.com.
While Homebase came in bottom place, SportsDirect.com and clothing store DorothyPerkins.com, came in joint 116th place with customer scores of 61%. Meanwhile, B&Q and WH Smith also languished near the bottom of the table with scores of 62% and 63% respectively. Other lower scoring brands included Littlewoods, Made.com and JD Sports.
