H&M to open first store in Bradford at The Broadway
H&M is to open its first store in Bradford at Westfield’s The Broadway shopping centre.
The fashion retailer’s full line store will span 23,503 square feet and will be situated at one of The Broadway’s main entrances, just off Market Street.
With the shopping centre currently under construction, Westfield said 65% of the centre’s floor space is now committed with more brands expected to sign up in the coming months.
Brands already signed up to take space at the centre include Debenhams, M&S, Next, Topshop, Topman, New Look and River Island.
Keith Mabbett, director of leasing at Westfield, said: “As a global retailer, H&M adds to the impressive list of stores that have already signed up to the scheme. In earlier surveys, H&M was one of the most requested retailers by Bradford shoppers and we very pleased to deliver H&M to the city.”
The Broadway development will create 2,500 new retail jobs when it opens in the autumn.
A spokesperson from H&M said: “We are delighted to be opening our first store in Bradford and believe this is an exciting opportunity to expand our brand. Our store will offer fantastic fashion and quality clothing at the best price.”
