Swedish high street fashion retailer H&M is to broaden its offer by launching an extensive shoe range for men, women and children.
In the retailer’s latest financial report, chief executive Karl-Johan Persson said the new footwear will be launched in the autumn in selected stores in nine countries as well as online.
He added: “We are continuing to broaden our current offering within H&M. The new shoe concept will offer a variety of models in different price categories, all at H&M prices. This is a part of our long-term investments which also includes investments in online, IT and our new brands.”
The announcement came as H&M revealed that sales including VAT increased in local currencies by 14% in the six months to 31 May 2014.
