H&M sales up 5% in April

High street fashion retailer H&M grew its sales including VAT by 5% in local currencies in April 2016 compared to the same month in the previous year.

The retailer said sales of transitional garments had been impacted by the cold spring which continued into April in several of its large markets.

At the end of the month H&M operated a total of 4,035 stores compared to 3,610 on 30 April 2015.
