Hawkin’s Bazaar announces final store closures
3 February, 2020 | by Angela Beevers
Administrators for the collapsed Hawkin’s Bazaar have said that all of the retailer’s 20 shops will now be closed following a final two days of trading at the weekend.
Tom Straw and Simon Thomas, partners at Moorfields Advisory, were appointed as joint administrators last month when the toy shop chain entered administration after a “challenging” Christmas trading period.
Speaking of the closures, Straw said: “We are grateful for the hard work of all staff during this extremely difficult and challenging time. We are working closely with the employees affected by the closures to ensure they receive the support they need for redundancy and other compensatory payments.”
