Harvey Nichols appoints former Burberry CFO as its new chief executive
Luxury department store group Harvey Nichols has named former Burberry chief financial officer Stacey Cartwright as its new chief executive.
Taking up her new position on 17 February, Cartwright will replace Joseph Wan who is retiring at the end of March after 21 years in the role.
Cartwright was Burberry’s chief financial officer and executive vice president for nine years and has been credited with overseeing Burberry’s successful entry into new markets including China and the Middle East. Commenting on Cartwright’s appointment, Harvey Nichols group chairman Dr Dickson Poon said: “Stacey joins us with an outstanding track record in growing and transforming world class companies, most recently in the luxury retail sector. Her appointment underlines our commitment to raising the bar even higher in this sector, strengthening both our leadership team and the exceptional service, products and experience we give to our customers at home and abroad.
Never Miss a Retail Update!“On behalf of all my colleagues at Harvey Nichols, I would like to warmly welcome Stacey to Harvey Nichols and to thank Joseph for the significant contribution he has made to the company and wish him a happy retirement.”
