Harrods appoints new CFO

Luxury department store Harrods has appointed John Edgar as its new chief financial officer.

Edgar joins Harrods from Selfridges where he was group finance director. He replaces Benedict Smith who has worked with Harrods for the last six years.

Prior to Selfridges, Edgar worked with a number of retailers including Arcadia, House of Fraser and Woolworths.
