Halfords launches new initiatives to help ease the rising cost of motoring
Halfords has dropped prices across all of its motoring categories as it looks to drive better value to customers during the cost of living crisis.
The move follows research by the retailer which found that one in six drivers are trying to spend as little as possible on their motoring purchases at present.
In addition, customers signed up to Halfords’ Premium Motoring Club membership will benefit from an additional 5% pricing discount on top of the new lower prices.
Launched in March, Halfords Motoring Club perks include a £5 welcome voucher, £10 off an MOT and a free 10-point check that usually costs £15.
Halfords has also taken steps to strengthen its price promise by committing to ‘Never Be Beaten on Price’ on more motoring products. It has also pledged that its 600 Autocentres across the UK will provide best-in-class MOTs and car servicing at prices that are up to 25% cheaper than other car dealerships.
Karen Bellairs, chief customer officer at Halfords, said: “The cost-of-living crisis is impacting each and every one of us every single day. In a study conducted this week 44% of respondents are ‘feeling ‘terrified about their finances.
“At Halfords, we see it as our duty to help drivers motor for less, and that’s why we’ve worked so hard to reduce prices across thousands of motoring essentials, strengthen our Price Match guarantee and made a new pledge that our Autocentres will always be up to 25% cheaper than car dealerships.”
