Halfords growth motors on
Like-for-likes up across year
Halfords has recorded healthy sales growth across its first year as a listed company.
The car, leisure and cycling products retailer, said that sales for the 52 weeks to April 1 increased by 8.6 per cent compared with the 52 weeks to April 2 2004, and by 10.5 per cent compared with the same 52 weeks in the previous year.
[img r]halfordsnew3.jpg[/img]Like-for-like sales increased by 8.9 per cent, with underlying like-for-likes, excluding stores where a mezzanine has been added, up by 8.2 per cent.
Halfords said its has seen sales growth across all four of its key categories: car maintenance, car enhancement, cycling, and travel solutions, and expects to report results for the financial year in line with forecasts.
