Halford’s Autocentre sales climb after rebrand
20 May, 2011 | by Retail Bulletin
Halfords Group said in a statement today that like-for-like sales at its autocentres business rose 0.9% in the 10 weeks to 9 May.
The group said that the business was beginning to reap the benefits of the recent rebrand and centre refurbishment programme. The improved performance reversed an earlier downward trend where sales declined by 2.3% in January/February. Earnings guidance remains unchanged at £7 million.
Halfords also said it plans to open 30 new autocentres in 2012 which are expected to generate around £1 million in start-up losses.
