H Stern to open first European store in London

H Stern, the Brazilian luxury jeweller, has chosen to open its first European standalone store in London.
The company is reported to have paid a £1 million premium for the prestigious Sloane Street store which is currently occupied by Browns, the designer fashion retailer. It is understood that the rent for the store will be around £230,000 per year.
The jeweller counts celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez and Katie Holmes amongst its fans. It currently operates in 12 countries across the world mostly via concessions in department stores and in airports.
Other newcomers to the upmarket shopping area include US fashion retailer Rag & Bone which has taken a store on Sloane Square opposite Tiffany & Co.
