Games Workshop to post higher full year revenue and profit

Miniature wargames retailer Games Workshop has said it expects its core full year revenue to be at least £385 million.

This compares to £353 million in its 2020/21 financial year.

For the year ending 29 May 2022, Games Workshop anticipates that royalties receivable will climb to £28 million from a previous  £16 million.

In addition, its pre-tax profit is expected to come in at not less than £155 million, which is £4 million more than in the prior year.

In the year-end trading update, Games Workshop said it had paid profit share cash payments amounting to £10 million in the year in recognition of staff’s contribution to the results. These are paid in cash on an equal basis to each member of staff.
