Game appoints property director to drive expansion
Nick Martel joins electronics game retailer
Game has ramped up is expansion programme with the appointment of Nick Martel as Property Director.
The electronics game retailer, aready with a chain of more than 500 stores in the UK and Europe, plans another 100 openings over the next year.
Martel has more than 15 years experience in the retail and commercial property sectors, and has previously worked for Gap in the UK and US, as well as for Specsavers 0pticians and the Knight Frank property business.
Over tha past year, Game has launched a number of property initiatives to cement its market leading position in the UK and Ireland. These included opening outlet branded stores, the first City of London store, as well as stores in seaside and market towns, and out-of-town retail parks. The company has opened 27 stores since the beginning of 2004.
Martel will continue to drive forward the objectives for the UK and Ireland store chain, whilst working closely with Marc Spence, MD Europe, to develop and accelerate the European store expansion programme still further.
