Fortnum & Mason appoints new chief executive
4 July, 2012 | by Retail Bulletin
Upmarket grocer Fortnum & Mason has announced that Ewan Venters is to become its new chief executive.
Venters will take up his position at the Weston family owned store in August, replacing Beverley Aspinall who left at the end of May.
He joins the retailer from Selfridges, also owned by Westons, where he was executive director for food, restaurants and online business.
Chairman Kate Hobhouse said: “Ewan’s passion, expertise and fresh thinking will help take Fortnum & Mason into the next stage of growth.”
The news follows the recent appointment of Tim Fisher as the store’s retail director.
