Former head of Customer Insight at Marks & Spencer joins Shoppercentric

Susie Spencer appointed as Director

Shoppercentric, an independent agency specialising in shopper behaviour research, has today announced that Susie Spencer, former Head of Customer Insight at Marks & Spencer, has joined the company as a Director.

“With many valuable years of experience in the retail market – 10 of those at Marks & Spencer heading up the customer insights team – we’re really excited to have Susie come on board,” said Danielle Pinnington, Managing Director at Shoppercentric.

“She’s worked across all areas of the retail spectrum, from marketing and retail to buying and merchandising, delivering fresh, actionable and commercially relevant insight into senior leadership teams.  In short, she’ll be a great asset to the business and help us to further understand what clients really need from shopper research, so that we can deliver research that is even more effective in meeting client requirements.”

Spencer said, “I’ve always been excited by the dynamism and the immediacy of the shopping environment and the real time insights you can get from it,”

“In joining Shoppercentric I hope to leverage the experience I’ve gathered from the shop floor and really help clients to engage with the Shopper.”

Prior to Marks & Spencer Susie worked at Millward Brown where she managed a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative studies, working for both UK and International clients from a diversity of sectors.
