Fits.me signs five new retailers and brands

2013 to be year of the virtual fitting room?

Virtual fitting room provider Fits.me today announced five new contracts with Adidas, Hugo Boss, L.K.Bennett, Nicole Farhi and Superdry.  Amid growing retailer interest in resolving the issue of high garment returns resulting from online sales, 2013 may well emerge as ‘the year of the virtual fitting room’, the company believes.

Heikki Haldre, founder and chief executive of Fits.me, said: “More people are buying clothing online, and this inevitably leads to higher levels of returns than for garments bought in store: people cannot try things on physically, online, so they frequently choose either the wrong size, or to buy multiple sizes and return the wrong ones.  This is bad for profitability and either bad or not especially good for the customer experience.  But we are now seeing retailers focusing on the fit issue; they know it exists and they’re onto it.  We could see 2013 being the year in which virtual fitting rooms start to become standard best practice.”

Each Fits.me Virtual Fitting Room is customised to be ‘on brand’ for the retailer or brand concerned.  Several of Fits.me’s new deals include multiple overseas websites, including the Superdry, Adidas and Hugo Boss agreements.  The new fitting rooms are expected to launch when each brand introduces its spring collection.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

The company develops, markets and operates virtual fitting room solutions on a software-as-a-service basis for online clothing retailers and brands.  Its roster of clients includes Barbour By Mail, Boden, Ermenegildo Zegna, Gilt Group, Hawes & Curtis, Otto, Pretty Green and Thomas Pink.

Fits.me are a Networking Partner at the Retail Bulletin’s Multichannel Retailing Summit 6th February 2013 where you will be able to meet Peter Rankin and his colleagues who can discuss the possibilities Fits.me offers your company. Click here to view the agenda for the day and registration.
