Figleaves.com supports PMS Awareness

Online retailer offering discount on Lejaby Nuage brand
August 21 2003
Online lingerie retailer Figleaves.com is linking up with the National Association for Premenstrual Syndrome to raise awareness of PMS.

Figleaves aims to help alleviate breast discomfort, one of the condition’s most significant symptoms. During PMS Awareness Week, which runs from September 1 to 7, Figleaves is running a promotion offering money off the Lejaby Nuage brand, aiming to highlight the importance of wearing a well fitting, comfortable bra.
More than 70 per cent of women wear the wrong sized bra and this can aggravate PMS breast tenderness. Additionally, a number of women require a larger cup sized bra during this period of the month.
Figleaves is discounting the Nuage range by 20 per cent during the week, and is also donating 5 per cent of sales on the range to the charity to help with its work. The Nuage range was chosen because of its soft, moulded cups – some bras with seamed cups can aggravate the breasts – and high quality fit and support. The entire range of four bras and five briefs and thongs is included in the promotion.
NAPS estimates that one in three women suffer from PMS which manifests up to 150 symptoms. In addition to wearing a comfortable correctly sized bra, symptoms can be alleviated through diet and exercise.
The charity provides information, advice and support to women affected by PMS, as well as their partners and families. It also provides diagnosis and treatment guidance to health professionals.
