Fendi opens first boutique in Germany
Luxury fashion brand Fendi, whose creative director is Karl Lagerfeld, has opened its first boutique in Germany .
The 365 sq m store, situated at Maximilianstraße 12-14 in Munich, will sell the brand’s range of womenswear, handbags, shoes, accessories, furs and watches. In addition, the store features a made-to-order area as well as a VIP room for individual fittings.
To celebrate Tuesday’s opening, Fendi created an exclusive version of the Bag Bug “Funich” which will be sold in a limited edition of 50 pieces.
After the event, guests were whisked off to the city’s Haus der Kunst gallery for the opening of Lagerfeld’s photography exhibition “The Glory of Water”. In addtion to Lagerfeld’s photographs of Rome’s fountains, the exhibition features a restored version of the “Histoire D’Eau” fashion film produced by Fendi in 1977, and an illustrated book of the same name published by Steidl-Verlag.
