Euan Sutherland to become chief executive of Saga
Former Superdry chief executive Euan Sutherland has been appointed as the chief executive of Saga.
Saga specialises in products and services for people aged 50 and over.
Due to take up his role next month, Sutherland will succeed Lance Batchelor who is retiring and will continue as a statutory director until he leaves the business on 31 January.
Prior to Superdry, Sutherland was group chief executive of The Co-op where he led a significant transformation programme. His previous roles also include being chief operating officer and chief executive for the UK at DIY retail group Kingfisher.
Patrick O’Sullivan, Saga chairman, said: “I am very pleased that Euan is joining Saga at this important time in the development of the business. He has substantial experience across several consumer-facing businesses that will be invaluable as we continue the Saga transformation, with our customers at the heart of our strategy.”
