Easyjet CEO Carolyn McCall joins Burberry as non-exec director
Burberry has appointed Easyjet chief executive Carolyn McCall as a non-executive director.
The luxury fashion brand said McCall will join its board on 1 September and will become a member of the audit, remuneration and nomination committees.
McCall has been chief executive of Easyjet since 2010. Her previous roles include a number of positions at Guardian Media Group including chief executive from 2006 to 2010. She has also served as a non-executive director of Lloyds TSB, Tesco and New Look.
Burberry chairman Sir John Peace said: “We are very pleased to welcome Carolyn to the board. Her experience of leading global companies, combined with her knowledge of consumers, travel, media and general management expertise will be great assets as we enter this next exciting phase of Burberry’s global growth and continue to focus on delivering long term shareholder value.”
