Dwell to open new concept store in New Malden

Contemporary furniture retailer Dwell has embarked on a new phase of its nationwide expansion with the opening of a new concept store in New Malden.

Spanning 4,500 square feet, the store will open in early September and will target shoppers in New Malden as well as nearby towns such as Kingston-upon-Thames, Richmond and Wimbledon.

With free parking facilities, the store will also have a ‘Click and Collect’ point for customers who want to buy online and then collect at the store.

James Dwyer, the New Malden store manager, said: “We believe that stylish, contemporary design can be affordable and we want to show customers how easy it is to get the lifestyle they aspire to.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the local community on our launch day so they can be first to see our stylish collection. Even if they can’t make it on our opening weekend, we regularly introduce new products to the range so customers will always find something fresh and unique no matter when they come to shop.”

To mark the opening, one customer on the opening weekend will win their order back. In addition, there will be surprise flash sales on a limited amount of bestselling lines and as well as five chances to win £100 to spend in store. All customers who sign up will also be put forward to win £1,000 in a prize draw.

Aamir Ahmad, Dwell chief executive and founder, added: “We launched the very first dwell in Balham in 2003 because we knew that Londoners are at the cutting-edge of style when it comes to homewares and we felt there was a gap in the market for contemporary design pieces which don’t cost a fortune.”

Dwell currently has three other London branches in Tottenham Court Road, Westfield White City, and Westfield Stratford. It also operates stores in Manchester, Glasgow and Tollcross.
