Dunelm non-executive director to step down
Homewares retailer Dunelm has announced that its non-executive director Arja Taaveniku has decided to step down from her position at the end of the year.
The news follows her acceptance of a full-time role as chief executive of Home Centre, a home furnishings company in the Middle East.
Having joined the Dunelm board in 2021, Taaveniku is a former chief offer and supply chain officer of Kingfisher and has also previously worked with Ikea Group for many years.
Dunelm has now commenced a search for replacement.
Alison Brittain, Dunelm chair, said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Arja for the valuable contribution she has made to the company over the last three years. We have initiated a search for a new independent non-executive director and will provide an update on this process in due course.”
