Drake Circus signs up four new retailers
British Land has signed up four new tenants at its 570,000 sq ft Drake Circus shopping centre in Plymouth.
Unisex fashion retailer Bank will open a 5,345 sq ft store, its first in Plymouth. The Fragrance Shop is also opening its first store in the area by taking 872 sq ft store in the shopping centre. Jeweller and watchmaker Ernest Jones is due to occupy a 1,984 sq ft unit, while Everything Everywhere will take 2,387 sq ft unit.
In addition to these new deals, existing tenant Carphone Warehouse has expanded at the centre, upsizing to a double size unit while speciality chocolatier Hotel Chocolat has relocated to the ground floor.
Lauren Obbard, asset manager for British Land, said: “Six years after opening, Drake Circus remains the West Country’s dominant shopping destination, and continues to attract leading retailers. To maintain this position it is important we continue to evolve the centre’s configuration, and create the right solutions for our tenants.”
