Dr Martens appoints new CEO and CFO
British footwear brand Dr Martens has appointed Steve Murray as its new chief executive.
Previously president of EMEA at US company Deckers Outdoors, Murray will join Dr Martens in October and will succeed David Suddens who is to become the company’s non-executive chairman.
Murray said: “It’s one of the great, iconic footwear brands worldwide and in addition one of the most identifiable British brands across any product category. While the last few years have seen tremendous growth for Dr Martens I believe that many opportunities exist beyond the current channels, markets and product lines.”
The footwear retailer has also named Henrik Holmark as its new chief financial officer. Holmark will take up his new position towards the end of 2014, joining from jewellery brand Pandora.
