Donna Ida opens pop-up shop at Cheshire Oaks

Premium denim retailer Donna Ida has opened a temporary pop-up shop at the McArthurGlen operated Cheshire Oaks designer outlet centre.

The pop-up is part of McArthur Glen’s ‘The Art of Denim’ campaign which aims to boost denim sales at its outlet centres across Europe.

The exclusive partnership will see the pop-up sell an edit of founder Donna Ida Thornton’s favourite premium denim brands as well as her own range of Ida high waisted jeans.

Commenting on the opening Donna Ida Thornton said: “I’m so excited to be popping up in McArthurGlen Cheshire Oaks Luxury Quarter in October; it’s an ideal place for a Donna Ida boutique.”

Never Miss a Retail Update!

The McArthurGlen campaign will run across six designer outlets in the UK from 5 to 20 October. Highlights include a ‘share zone’ which screens live feeds of street-style shots uploaded by shoppers on Instagram using the hashtag ArtOfDenim, an exclusive free denim tote bag for shoppers to customise with their own personal designs, and a bespoke monogramming and embroidery service.

Throughout the campaign, McArthurGlen will offer shoppers additional savings on denim labels such as Replay, Calvin Klein Jeans, The Kooples, Diesel, Guess and Levi’s.

Last year, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet centres sold more than five million items of denim-wear – nearly 600 for every hour of the year.

Julia Calabrese, McArthurGlen Group chief executive said: “The Art of Denim campaign is about making shopping fun and stimulating, creating a retail experience rooted in fashion history, and one that demonstrates that our centres offer the most sought-after names in the world of fashion. I’m delighted that Jean Queen Donna Ida Thornton is joining us for the campaign; the pop up will bring new designer denim names to McArthurGlen plus expert advice to make sure you can find your perfect pair of jeans.”
