Dobbies appoints retail director
Dobbies Garden Centres has appointed former B&Q senior manager Gordon Mackenzie to the position of director of retail.
Mackenzie will take responsibility for all retail operations at Dobbies, with the exception of food products. This will include visual merchandising and customer services. He will report to Johnny Trotter, operations director for Dobbies. At B&Q, he was most recently regional warehouse manager for the North.
Dobbies operates 18 garden centres with a retail offer including indoor and outdoor plants, outdoor living ranges such as garden furniture and barbeques, and a gift range.
