Dixons introduces same-day delivery service
Dixons is launching a new same day delivery service for customers of Currys and PC World.
Orders placed before 9.30am will qualify for the same-day service, with delivery to customers between 6.30pm and 10pm.
The move is part of range of delivery service updates made by the retailer in partnership with Royal Mail Courier Service. As well as the introduction of the same day service, these will also include improvements to the next day delivery service and the launch of Sunday deliveries for small boxes.
Next day delivery will be available for orders placed before midnight, with delivery to customers between 6.30pm and 10pm the following day. Previously, only orders placed before 5pm qualified for the next day service.
Never Miss a Retail Update!Sunday deliveries will also be introduced to cater for customers who prefer to receive their orders on weekends. In statement the company said: “Currys & PC World currently offer Saturday-only delivery; however a Sunday proposition with delivery between 2.30pm and 6pm will allow for more flexibility, suiting customers’ busy 21st century lives.”
Services will be available on over 362 days of year, apart from Christmas Day, Easter Sunday and New Year’s Day.
The new services will launch in London, Greater London and other selected post codes with the aim of expanding to other areas of the country in the short-term.
Same day and Sunday deliveries will be priced at £14.99. Next day delivery will start from £4.99.
