Dixons Carphone announces board changes
Dixons Carphone has appointed Lord Livingston of Parkhead as deputy chairman and Tony DeNunzio as senior independent director.
Lord Livingston will chair the remuneration committee and become a member of the nominations committee while DeNunzio will become a member of the remuneration and nominations committees.
DeNunzio was president and chief executive of Asda/Walmart UK from 2002 to 2005 and is currently non-executive chairman of Pets at Home, a non-executive director of PrimaPrix and senior adviser at Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co. He was previously a non-executive director of Alliance Boots and chairman of Maxeda Retail Group.
Lord Livingston was chief executive at BT Group from 2008 to 2013 and prior to that was chief executive for BT Retail and group chief financial officer of BT. From 2013 to May 2015, he was Minister of State for Trade and Investment and he is currently a non-executive director of Celtic and Belmond. He also served as chief financial officer of Dixons Group between 1996 and 2002, having served in a number of roles for more than a decade in the company.

The company has also announced that Roger Taylor has stood down as deputy chairman and that John Gildersleeve has relinquished his role as a non-executive director.

Both have made very significant contributions to the company over many years and I would like to thank them most sincerely for everything that they have done. I know that they will remain friends and counsellors to us in the future.”
