Dixons appoints new finance chief

Kevin O’Byrne promoted by electricals group
Dixons has appointed of Kevin O’Byrne as group finance director.

O’Byrne takes up the post later this month, replacing Jeremy Darroch, who is leaving the retailer to join broadcaster BSkyB.
Group chief executive, John Clare said: “I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin O’Byrne as group finance director. Kevin joined the Group as Retail Finance Director two years ago and has already made a significant contribution to our business in the UK and internationally.
“I would also like to thank Jeremy for the contribution he has made to our business, as retail finance director and subsequently as group finance director. We wish him every success in his new role.”
